Any guesses what this rug is made from?
The answer: recycled teddy bears. Amazing, right? Artist Agustina Woodgate creates these rugs from the fur of the discarded toys. As a new object, the rugs explore memory, the pasts of the old teddy bears, and the meanings created by the new rug. I love how the shapes are pretty abstracted, but do resemble animal pelts. I feel like this is the kind of rug you nap on in front of the fireplace.
