I wrote about photographer Hilda Grahnat a few weeks ago, but her work was just too inspiring to be confined to just one blog post, so I’m writing about her again. While browsing her blog and shop, I was particularly taken with work related to her recent visit to Japan. Personally, I’ve never been big into Japanses visuals and culture like a lot of people are, but I was charmed by Grahnat’s outsider view of bits of Japanese objects and everyday scenes.
It’s especially poignant to look through these photos now, after all that’s happened in Japan over the past few weeks.
Grahnat has prints of some of her Japanese photos available for sale (including the one below) with proceeds going toward the recovery effort.
