Studio Paint

Well, it’s been a long time coming but the studio is finally painted. When we moved in, it was assumed that the walls in the studio (our enclosed back porch) were paneling. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that it was actually faux paneling wallpaper. Except, upon even closer inspection, not even wallpaper but contact paper. Yep, the entire room was covered in contact paper. Luckily, the stuff was so old that it peeled off relatively easily, but boy, that’s a lot of contact paper. After living with half-peeled walls for the past 6 months, I finally got around to getting some paint to make the studio a bit more presentable. I ended up with the same color as basically everything I own right now (purse, necklace, our kitchen, etc)– pale turquoise. The color didn’t turn out quite like I imagined, but I’m sure with a few pictures hung everything will come together. And anything’s better than wood-panel contact paper, right?
